We were staying at Lake Bled and our restaurant server recommended we take a trip to Lake Bohinj. With a car it's only about a 15-20 minute drive from Lake Bled and boy was it worth it. Lake Bled is very pretty, but Lake Bohinj...More

while i didn't get a chance to walk the entire circumference of the lake, i really liked the laidback vibe of this place. the many locals chilling out here lend it more authenticity than lake bled...and the dramatic mountain ranges in the background are simply...More

On a blue sunny day, the backdrop of the Alps shines on the Bohinj lake reflecting away. The only bridge with car crossing the way makes it slightly difficult to take a good pic. Walk further up to get even better picture. Not to be...More

This is a lovely large lake close to Bled. You can stop in this town for lunch and then drive around the lake or walk around ( its a long walk). The view from the Church is great and just behind the Church there are...More

Quite a nature, great for hiking and cycling with family on separated paths. The lake is quite big and immersed into the national park. I reccomend it to all nature lovers.

We loved lake Bohinj! Taking a cruise on the lovely old Tourist Boat is also a very good idea. The young lady guide was friendly and informative. If possible, camp there!

We spent a few hours during our last evening in Slovenia. It was a quite, peaceful lake about 20kms from Lake Bled. The lake and its surrounding hills and meadows were simply beautiful and serene. The periphery of the lake is about 12-14 kms, and...More

Everything you've heard about here is true: It's Bleds non-touresty sister. There isn't a perimeter route so you generally view it from three sides, but it is absolutely buautiful, probably more so than Bled. Our biggest grip was that the churches around the lake only...More

Not as fairytale as Lake Bled, Lake Bohinj is nonetheless a beautifully scenic and magical place. Surrounded by mountains (some with snow in May when I visited), the lake mirrors the mountains and and clouds to provide stunning scenery. Fish are abundant in its waters...More

We are planning on taking the bus from Lublijana to Lake Bohinj early in the morning and then to Lake Bled and then back to Lublijana that evening. I have read this is possible in one day and the bus station in Lake Bled is very near the lake. However I can't find information on what bus stop I should exit when we get to Lake Bohinj. The plan was to do a walk around part of the lake before catching the bus to Lake Bled. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks for your time.
