The Monument to cardinal Stefan Wyszynski is a fitting statue to this hero of WW2 and in his thoughtful pose looks resplendent sitting by St Joseph's the Guardian Church on what is in my opinion one of the most pretty streets in Warsaw namely Krakowskie Przedmiescie. The statue offers some great photographic opportunities and is most definitely well worth a... More

The Monument is located in front of the St. Joseph's Church and is one of the many statues in the area. Unfortunately, there are no informations panels to explain to the foreign visitors about the importance of this statue and who really was this person, so it's better to do a research before.

This is a monument of the cardinal Stefan Wyszynski, who helped Jews during WWII and went against the Communist occupation of Poland. The proximity of the monnument to a beautiful church provides some lovely photo-ops.

Yeah, it's a nice one, overall for religious people, but still isn't the kind of "don't miss out attraction". For people who love places' history, this can be super, since he was important to the city.

Statue itself is quite decent, but lacks any further information for tourists who would like to know why was this man so important to get a statue in such a prominent place.

This monument stands outside St. Joseph Church. It is a well done sculpture and makes a nice photo with the church in the background. The white façade of the church gleams in the sunlight. Inside is a beautiful vaulted ceiling with ornate décor on the walls and pillars, as you would expect.

Worth a quick look if walking down this street. The church is nice and the cardinal out the front is life like. My wife thought it was john paul 2nd but alas no. ;-)

Seems like the Catholic church always has a monument to its Cardinals. This monument is pretty impressive showing the cardinal in all his regalia. It is on one of the popular walking streets in Warsaw and worth a photo and a stop to see the church.
