Seek out this museum- very small attendance but so worth while- in a former prison in Warsaw that was mostly destroyed by the Nazis at the close of WW2- but what remains and the exhibits tell a very compelling and hard to fathom story of...More

Having watched Czas Honoru on TV in Scotland for years, this was my first stop in Warsaw. It is haunting, but fascinating. The few staff (I was the only person there) are helpful and buy the DVD.

Free on a Thursday. Easy to walk to from the centre. Very near the Museum of the Polish Jews. Not huge so probably won't need more than one hour. Half of the museum has artefacts / stories relating to the museum e.g. prisoners personal items...More

We found ourselves very interested in this after going to the Gestapo HQ. And it's very very good! I'm very glad we went. It starts with an informative re-creation of the grounds in days gone, then you go and read the stories of people that...More

It's a small museum showing the inside of the infamous prison, giving some taste of what it must have been like to be an inmate there. There is also a small exhibition of the German camps during war.

An important piece of Warsaw history, this should be on your list of exploring the city. It is not a big museum, so an hour should do to have a good look and read. Staff were very helpful and spoke great English.

We visited Pawiak Prison Museum yesterday, it worked out about £2 each for entry and was well worth it. There was hardly anyone in the museum so you could browse at your leisure. The information about the people who were kept at Pawiak was really...More
