Artificial lake, surrounded either by wet grounds or the cottage houses or huge hotels. Public access to water is limited to few places in Nieporęt or Białobrzegi, it becomes really crowded on hot days. Anyway, it is the only lake close to Warsaw... so for sailors - it is a must.

Having lived in Warsaw for over 40 years I have never got to like Zalew Zegrzyński. Crowded, noisy place, full of lazy Warsaw people who go there for their weekends instead of travelling some 2 hrs more to the pretty Mazury lakes... No good beaches, no good restaurants, no good places to stay... and not-so-crystal-clear water. Go elsewhere.

It's not easy finding a spot by the side of this very large lake where you can just drive up and park. The shores have in the main all been cordoned off and made private access. The places that are public access are overcrowded and not good for disabled access.

I went there to kayak around with friends. There are many other water sports available you can take advantage of including sailing and motor boats. There are also a lot of traditional polish restaurants surrounding the lake that make for a great lunch/dinner what have you :)

good location and decent area, but nothing extraordinary. Stay away from Lufthansa, there are better ways to fly!

Though the surroundings are nice, the water may not appear to be cristally clean, nearby restaurants are pretty expensive, no sailing rules govern the lake and it takes ages before you can make home from there on a weekend.... avoid

Beach and forests, many attractions around with good hotels and spa. Close to Warsaw, so I can get there after work.

Therefore it is crowded on weekends... The lake is nice and if you are lucky you can get a good meal in a waterfront restaurant (Marina Diana, Warszawianka). There are boat-ports around the lake, and a rental can be arranged. There are a couple of sandy beaches with good water access, but swimming can be temporarily forbidden - due to... More

If you are not a sailor or do not like water scooters there is no point to go there. Water too cold to swim, no beaches. No walking routes around the lake. No bars or restaurants. It is not really wild and not civilized at all. If you finally are able to find some old-fish shack around, serving frozen sea-fish... More
