Based on a large area, many types of animals, the Afrykarium is very nice, some of the animals are kept indoors during the winter but can be visited, entry prices are fair.

Many many species of exotic animals. The biggest attraction for me was the family of hippos. Also the enviroment is built to make you feel the humidity and warmth of the jungle.

It's by far one of the biggest zoo I have visited, but I the major attraction is the aquarium which is simply beautiful and must watch.

Arriving back at centennial Hall we had a well deserved coffee in the Pergola Restaurant. We then headed across the road to the Zoo but that was nearly closing so we decided to give it a miss.

I drove there, from the centre, in about 15 minutes - it was an easy enough drive on main roads - so either a taxi or one of several buses or a tram (assuming you don't have your own car as we did!) will get you there easily... More

Wroclaw zoo was the biggest in Europe for a long time (and also long time ago).. recently they improved manyfacilieties for the tourist as for the animals which I do believe do the work for both as well!
