The centre of Krakow’s Old Square and packed with market stalls inside the building, restaurants and bars on the outside, a museum and public toilets (small charge), this lovely old building is somewhere that a couple of hours or more can be easily spent. Very clean and well maintained and well worth a visit.

You can't miss the building, it's in the centre of the square. The architecture is pleasing but the little selection of market stalls is underwhelming. About 15 stalls selling tourist tat. You're not missing anything but ignoring the inside.

One of the iconic landmark buildings of Krakow is the world famous Sukiennice.
The Sukiennice ( Cloth Hall ) was established in the 13th century, rebuilt after a devastating fire in 1555 this UNESCO World Heritage Site is so beautiful, I've viewed it many times over the years on many holidays to Krakow, it still impresses me ,its a major tourist attraction, packed on our holiday every day ,I didn't shop here ,I don't shop while on holiday but I love the ancient atmosphere in here ,it most definitely well worth checking out if you're planning a holiday to Krakow and found on Rynek Glowny ( Main Market Square )

It’s the perfect building for a perfect main city square. I can’t find anything on the internet pertaining to horses, but the stalls on the ground level certainly look like the exact size of a typical horse stall. Today, each stall is used as a retail outlet. The internet says the original intent was to have a significant place to conduct foreign trade. It’s a very much, can’t miss it, structure.

Centrally located at the Rynek Glowny Central Square.
It was an important international trade (especially textiles) center in the 15th century. The original building was destroyed by fire. Then It was rebuilt in 1559 and transformed into a magnificent Renaissance style building.

Currently it is a large bazaar selling crafts, jewelry and souvenirs. On the second floor, there are division of national museum and gallery.

I didn't go up and visit them due to time constraints. I was just obsessed with the beauty of the architecture. All aspects of the building, front view, back view, side view, terraces, corridors....are all so delicate, graceful and pretty.

We were not really bothered by all the shops will their jewellery, galls ware and souvenirs. The interior was stunning. The place is large and has an incredible history. Well worth the time to walk through.

This is a very attractive building. Inside there is an art gallery, which we didn’t visit, and then the “avenue” of small stalls selling tourist aimed goods, but still interesting to wander down. There are also some shops on the other side.

The Sukiennice is one of the city's symbols. It has existed since the 13th century, but initially looked completely different.
Still you can buy some things there, mostly souvenirs.

Situated on the main square. Worth a visit to buy some souvenirs. Not expensive. My daughters and niece bought lovely silver rings. Lovely handmade wooden gifts also.
