The architectural style shows one is drifting towards Russian Orthodox in style even though this is a very strongly catholic country. There is an area for those wanting to pray at the back leaving a freer rein for tourists who pay Zl 10 for the...More

Absolutely stunning! We visited on a Sunday and it really was quite beautiful well worth a visit for only 10 zlotys. It's eerie to hear the lone bugler on the hour, listen for his abrupt stop, try and find out why he stops 🤔

I loved the the architecture used for the basilica its definitely representative of what you will see around the old town. Its located meters from the main market square so its impossible to miss. You will also get some beautiful and amazing photo ops.

The imposing structure overlooking Krakow 's main square provides a fantastic photo opportunity if nothing else. Grab a coffee or beer at a nearby bar, and take some to admire its apearence and setting.

Something you can't miss when in the main square, with its towering presence and hourly trumpeter reminding you of being close by if enjoying one of the many bars or restaurants. Stunning architecture and history, as is the rest of the square for that matter.

Paid 10 zloty to go in and view the famous alter. The interior has walls painted in bright colours with a blue cieling with gold stars. The alter is highly gilded and just amazing. Well worth a visit.

This basilica is one of the most important and very interesting landmarks in Krakow. In this city there many churches, however, this basilica is one of the most stunning. It is located in a heart of the city.

The Altar is opened just before noon and, from what I remember the guide saying, it closes just after 17.00. I wanted to see the Altar closed but never managed to return in time. I hope this helps.
