I was a real experience for me. I had heard of the Black Madonna but after visiting the Church, I was amazed. I got to experience the opening ceremony as well as the closing ceremony of the veiling and unveiling of the Black Madonna.

There are places in Częstochowa, where you just have to go to. Do not hesitate and I promise you - you will be satisfied.

For Catholics - and any religious for that matter - a trip to Poland is not complete without visiting the Black Madonna of Czestochowa. Just to get through the throngs of pilgrims is a feat to see the portrait but is well worth the wait.

We had a group of 20 touring Poland. This was a must see spot. We attended the veiling of the Madonna and had Mass the next morning. An amazing story to the Black Madonna and gorgeous surroundings.

The monastery is impressive. There is much to see here. There are many images of Our Lady of Czestochowa throughout but the original can only be seen at certain times. It is in a very small chapel and is covered most of the time. We...More

There are various unveiling and veiling times during the day. For our visit it was unveiled at 6 am, veiled at noon, unveiled at 1pm and veiled at 9 pm. It is not a quick process each time. Prayers involved so actual times... More

It was pre-arranged by my guide. I would suggest this if you want to avoid the crowds and get personal attention.
