I was not happy with myself as I missed the train I intended to catch from Gdansk and was then too mean to pay for the faster Inter-City. I then had to ask the way as the castle is not signposted from the railway station...More

Everybody going to Poland should visit this castle. We had a guided tour and it was very interesting. I especially liked the armory. Some of the halls are just enormous. We did absolutely the whole caste apart from the tower.

The castle of Malbork is definitely worth visiting. It is beautiful and full of history being the oldest medieval castle in Europe! Downside is, you can't get to see any of its towers.... Still it took almost three hours to see everything. You can have...More

the Order dates back to the 10th century. it settled in Marienburg in the 13th. Following lots of destruction its today the biggest "brick building complex" in Europe

Highly recommended to visit if you are somewhere around Gdansk! The castle is very impressive and the audio guide makes exploration even more interesting, so don't miss a chance to take it.

There is a train from the Gdansk central station to the town of Malbork. It takes about thirty five minutes. From there it's either a twenty minute walk or an overpriced cab ride to the castle.
