We took the tram to brezno and then walked along the beach and around to the lighthouse and then opposite the old fort, about 5 miles in all. Nice walk around a real part of Gdańsk

Standing along side Motlawa, very interesting old building. This is where the ferries enter Gdansk. Although a little difficult to locate, It's worth a visit.

We planned a visit by car to the Lighthouse placed 10km far from Gdansk city centre. We were there in 15minutes but I didn’t see any possible transportation apart from Uber or a more expensive taxi service. We were lucky because the place was closed...More

Our Polish guide made this apparently unprepossessing lighthouse a worthwhile visit. Apparently the first shots of WW2 were fired from this building and there is a memorial to those who defended the peninsular on the opposite bank. The small Polish garrison on Westerplatte held off...More

See it from the river trip and save yourselves the hassle of going - on wrong side of the river from the Westerplast and miles away from the city. It looks nice but I fear it would struggle to entertain for more than 5 mins...More

Visiting this lighthouse was one of our must's in Gdansk as it belongs to one of most important places of Polish history. Building is in very good condition and there are a lot information panels, where you can read about its history. But I don't...More

bit out of the way, not a place I would go to if pressed for time, but the view from the top is fab. Then again, you can climb the church or cathedral in old town and have fab view too, though of course very...More
