I wish we had planned on staying at least a week. There were so many unique buildings, so many sights, so many cute dogs! I will go back.

This where all the Amber shops are located. They are exp.ensive and you can find cheaper elsewhere. That said it is an interesting location

This is “Amber Alley” where you can choose from many storekeepers and their displays of jewellery in a friendly atmosphere.

Not far from Long Street, this single street is a real gem. The merchant houses here are decorated with drain pipes, Gargoyles, and other building features reflecting the specialty of each merchant. Truly a not to be missed street. Small but wonderful.

Located in the beautiful old town, this street runs up from the river and has numerous Amber jewellery shops and stalls. There are a few cafes and it is worth a stroll up even if you have no intention of buying.

I enjoyed seeing the "vomiting" gargoyles on the porches of the row houses on Mariacka Street. Each row house has a water drain on either side of the house extending downwards from the roofline to the porch balustrade on top of which sits the gargoyle....More

Lovely street for a evening stroll with your loved one(s). Very charming, like most of the streets in the old town. Especially romantic when the last daylight disappears.

It is an interesting street to walk along, with lots of small shops, but also to see all the old houses, in various different states of restoration. Quiet and calm.

As I read everywhere that this is the most beautiful street in Gdansk I was expecting something truly amazing. With that in mind it was a slight disappointment, because it's not that special. Still, it's a pretty little street with a cosy feeling to it,...More

A whole street with the same amber jewellery in every store exept Moja Forma; who also has jewellery from some talented up'n-coming designers such as Dorota Kos. Would come back because of that.

I lived in the Old Town for few years. In the summer you can expect some moderate noises at night. Although, there are no pubs, just few cafes, people tend to walk there until late in the night. In the winter it's a calm... More
