close to the centre. Jan pavel II. was there before more than 20years ago. Not easy for searching, you need a map, not far from the main circle.

As it happened with most of the churches in Olomouc this chapel was closed. So I could only have a peek from the fences at the entrance. It looked lovely with an incredible painted ceiling.

This was an amazing priest who was tortured to death. The original rack can be viewed in the cellar. There is a great interactive screen at the entrance which covers the history of John Sarkander, what led to his torture, death and sainthood.

Visit here for a small taste of history, and for the lovely chapel. Also stop at the "Living Waters" fountain outside.

What a great thing to find. The architecture is beautiful and inside is so 'cute'. A passing Czech lady (who spoke no English) was keen for me to find it.

At the corner of two of the prettiest streets in Olomouc's historic old town stands a small neo-baroque chapel dedicated to the memory of Saint Jan Sarkander.
