Main square of Brno

This place lives. It is full of the people but not overcrowded. The are lots of bars and restaurants. While looking over, beware of trams, they are so silent.

We are in Brno right now and we thoroughly enjoyed the weekend walking around Namesti Svobody. The wine and food booths were busy, but we had no trouble getting served. We found the prices quite reasonable. Everyone was polite and friendly. Another reviewer reports everyone was drunk, but we did not find that the case at all. A few college... More

A nice square in the center of Brno, a lot of nice shops and cafe's/restaurants around this square. On the weekend that we visited there was a market on this square where they were selling alcohol. Too bad, because from 7pm everyone on the square was drunk and causing fights and arguments. I dont know if this market is there... More

First we went to the touristic information. There we got a map about the history from brno according to wwII. I would recomand it to everyone! The freedom place is an important place in history. Hitler came here and renamed the place. You can't really see it, but if you have some information from the info office, you'll like it.

The square was not the the biggest, nor was it the most beautiful one in Czech. Nonetheless, there were some beautiful buildings surrounding it. Inside the square, there was a nice column and the bullet like clock. Many restaurants around. Worth a visit.

Just 10mins walk from the railway station. It has an old charm that is good for photos taking. You may see that farmers market nearby

We stayed very close to this square, when we visited to watch Moto GP. We arrived on the Tuesday and saw it getting busier and busier, the closer to race day. There are plenty of good places to eat and drink around the square. There is a supermarket, where we purchased snacks and drinks to take to the track. The... More

This is the busy town square. It is part of the main shopping area. It has some nice buildings, an unusual clock and modern fountain which is the best bit for little ones. There are more atmospheric and picturesque parts of Brno to sit for a drink.
