The Terezin Memorial is worth the time to visit. It is a 45 minute bus ride from Prague but was less than 200czk. There is a walking tour with many details if the start of Terezin, to the Nazi labor camp, and it becoming a memorial. It just happen to visit on the 70th anniversary of the memorial. It shows... My wife and I took the Terezin Concentration Camp Day Tour From Prague on May 21, 2017. We booked using the Viator App - and Martin Tours was our vendor. Our guide was Rene - and he was fantastic! Well informed and happy to share his knowledge throughout the six hour tour. Terezin is different from Auswich - not being... More

We took the Terezin tour with Sandeman today. Our tour guide, Theresa (Terri), was very knowledgeable and informative. She also did an excellent job maintaining her composure when another tour group member kept finishing her sentences for her! This was quite annoying to me but Terri handled it very professionally. The tour was very sad but I think its good... More

If you only DO ONE THING in Prague it HAS to be "Terezin Private Tour" with Pavel Batel. Pavel is a historian and three times published author. He is immensely passionate about and has extensively researched this subject, including interviewing numerous survivors, travelling the world in the name of research to ensure this story is told. He is more than... More

This is a definite must do if you are into the second world war. Our tour was about 5 hours including an hour travel each way and we got picked up from the hotel. The tour is set up into to sections so you see the memorial and then also a small meusium afterwards. Both parts are interesting. Our tour... More

We took a 6 hour tour leaving from Republic Square booked via Viator. Totally worth the time. Close to a must see. Suggest some advance reading- at least at Wikipedia level. Our tour lost a star because they left 30 minutes late and did a poor job letting us know how new itinerary would shake out. 45 minute bus ride... More

Terezin is an incredibly important, fascinating, moving and enlightening place to visit, not to be missed if you have 3 or 4 days in Prague. Much has been written, movies made, but seeing it with your own eyes is an incredible experience. My husband and I spent a absolutely unforgettable and thoroughly enjoyable day there with tour guide Pavel Batel... More

If you are Staying for 4 days or more in Prague, I recommend you to spend a day in Terezin! There are many reasons for that: 1) because it's a historical site. 2) because you can visit a concentration camp and a former ghetto which hasn't changed so much through the years. 3) it's pretty cheap 4) rather close to... If you want to see how man can be so inhuman to his fellow man, this concentration camp/ghetto fits the bill. From the gas chambers to the crematoria one sees the horrors of WW2 inflicted on innocent people. Very sobering and thought provoking. When we were there there was an exhibition of paintings done by prisoners, very traumatic paintings. If... More
