The area
Neighbourhood: Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
How to get there

See Champions League in Prague

It's a great place to watch football matches (mostly Champions League) and drink Pilsner Urquell or other alcoholic beverages.

Busy bar.
Jul 2015 • Friends
The new town ( nove mesto ) is the home to some wonderful pub's,bar's and restaurant's and in POHODA we found another gem.
The bar was very busy, all the outside seating was taken,no surprise as it was a boiling hot day so we ventured into the cosy inside bar.
This was very nice ,nice furnishing's,nice decor,a real pubby look to the place.
We only went in for some beer's and opted for Kozel beer ,this was brought over by a very friendly member of staff .
The atmosphere in here was superb, chilled but lively with a great music selectio creating a lovely vibe.
The beer's were superb ,totally refreshing on such a hot day.
The price of the beer's was fantastic and we had a very pleasant half hour or so in here.
Very easy to locate, jump the tram down to VODICKOVA ( tram's to name but some ) and walk down the street Vodickova and turn onto NAVRATILOVA were you will find this bar.
Opening hour's are;
Monday to Friday,2pm till 11pm.
Saturday,4pm till 11pm.
Sunday,6pm till close.
Great bar and well worth checking out.

Fantastic small bar
Jul 2015 • Friends
When walking around this area of Prague we came across this excellent small bar located in the neighborhood area of Prague called Nove Mesto (new town).A fine establishment with sheltered outside seating you descend down a few steps into a traditional Czech bar with a good interior and many fine features. When here this place was extremely busy especially outside as it was a very warm evening. We opted to sit inside and enjoyed a fine Kozel pivo served in tip top condition price of which was very fair.A great little bar and if ever you are in this area of Prague call in you won't be disappointed.Located on Navratilova street.
Opening hours are.
Nearest metro or tram.
