Do not miss out on the yummy cakes they offer at the little restaurant

I loved the castle and gardens and to top it all there were very yummy cakes on offer in the little 'restaurant' on the castle grounds. We also had fresh orange juices and we were... read more

The castle is beautiful. BUT!! They have removed all the pictures inside. The collection was great!!! They were better than in the gallery in the center of Prague. Also there was a very nice collection of the portraits of former Prague mayors. And now there are several modern installations. They don't match with the paintings on the ceilings, with the... More

The chateau ceilings are beautiful, the best trompe l'oeil I've ever seen! But that's all to see on the interior. There is a funky modern art display that was inexplicable to the three of us and ruined the ambience of the historic space. The gardens are interesting structured spaces but not well maintained. DO NOT take the boat (at least... More

I loved the castle and gardens and to top it all there were very yummy cakes on offer in the little 'restaurant' on the castle grounds. We also had fresh orange juices and we were offered a whole little 'bucket' of ice cubes to put in them as it was very hot due to a heatwave. Very nice gesture. We... More

Located next to Prague's Zoo, Troja Chateau is worth the visit. Before or after the crowd of the zoo, we enjoyed the serenity of the palace and the beauty of the gardens. The terrace is decorated with a rare collection of Bombelli vases. The central axis of the garden projects towards the spires of the St. Vitus Cathedral in the... More

I came here by mistake, as I was just having a walk along the river, and I could just spent some minutes before somebody told us to leave (I think because they were closing). But it looked like the gardens of a mansion, and that's kind of what it was. I think I liked it just because I wasn't expecting... More

Thankfully we combined this visit with the Zoo next door or this would be a total waste of time. You can buy a combined ticket for 600 ck. You get their by taking to "C" train and then the 112 bus which goes to the Zoo. Get off the same stop. Upon entering you see and empty Chateau with only... More

We made the trek out to Troja (getting the metro to Nádraží Hološevice and Bus 112 from there; it makes sense to incorporate it into a trip to the zoo, since it's literally right next door) because of the Vaclav Cigler exhibition the museum's currently hosting. The exhibition was great for a lover of glass art like me, but the... More

From building Mánes going ships along Vltava river in Troja. Troja Chateau is situated near Troja ZOO and Botanical garden, surrounded by beautiful Gardens with a small maze and Vltava river. Built in the years 1679 to 1685 after a design by French architect J.B.Mathey, this chateau has the apperance of a country villa of the Roman type. An effective... More

We stopped by here for the bike tour which was alright as the highlight was the bike tour but i wouldn't purposely make my way here unless im in the neighborhood or the zoo! It wasn't bad but i guess it wasnt fantastic either! Would just be a stop by if I was going to the zoo!
