Established in 2004 Tynska Bar and Books was the first overseas Bar and Books enterprise. The Czech Republic had just become a member of the European Union and its capital Prague is well known as one of the most beautiful European cities, rivaling Paris, London and Rome. Located in the heart of Prague, just steps away from the Old Town Square, perfectly hidden in a small cobblestone street with a spectacular view of the Tyn Church. Tynska Bar and Books is proof of how sophisticated Prague has become.

Dresscodes sind vor Eintritt zu kennzeichnen und mitzuteilen, nicht erst nach dem Bestellen. Just for your note: In this case you've to learn much more to learn than serving couple of Whiskeys and Cocktails. Customer are equal even they are foreigners.

Been a loyal customer since they opened in Prague. Many years ago, even booked out the place for a company Christmas party. One of the more sophisticated bars in Prague. Tucked away on a charming cobbled street. Now extended to include an extra room for...More

First time there during the day was grand. The evening though encouraged me not to return with the thick layer of smoke which frankly, changed the total taste of my wine American Bourbon.

Dear David, thank you for your review, but if you don't like a smoke, for the next time. . .you shouldn't choose cigar bar. . .

We went here for cocktails. The place is very well done, feeling of drinking in a high end library with books. The bar has copper table and the service was excellent. The ambiance is amazing with dimmed light and wood furniture. They have other locations...More

I love this bar. It's actually one of my favourite bars in the world. It's got that classic whiskey bar look about it with great dark lighting. I love that you can smoke here also. It's a thing of beauty !

If you like rum, order the best dark n' stormy this side of Jamaica (bartender Lukas makes these to perfection). A very sophisticated, yest relaxed, atmosphere.

The owners did a fine job perfectly replicating a New York cigar lounge. Unfortunately, they also charge NYC prices. Cigar prices were 2x to 3x higher than in the States. An $8 to $10 stick sells in the $21 to $26 range. Whiskey and Scotch...More

There didn't seem to be a dress code that I could ascertain, although I wasn't there for Bond Night. That said, use your common sense. It's not a five star restaurant, but it is a nice place, so don't go in wearing barefoot... More
