Cheap and takes an hour or 2. Very convenient and fun. There are stairs but I think they had an elevator for disabled visitors too, but you should double check this. It's horrible what they used to do to people, water boarding seems so vanilla in comparison. Well worth it if you have the time, we had teenagers with us... More

The most interesting place you look full of ancient torture methods. Instead of seeing real figures and illustrations where The most clearly visible. Worth a visit instead.

I would've felt a lot happier with this if I had paid a lot less. Although very interesting (if you read all of the badly translated posters) it is over very quickly.

It is hard to comprehend the atrocities that human beings can inflict on one another. This museum gives you a good feel for how barbaric and sadistic people were from the middle ages. It is disturbing to think people could think up such inhumane actions, let alone perform them. It certainly makes you appreciate living in this century!

The rain started pouring and we took cover in, what happened to be, a torture museum. We got tickets and stayed for about an hour and it was a tad creepy, but pleasant surprise. We had no idea that there were so many different torture devices nor had we any idea of how they worked. We know quite a lot... More

Went there with my 10 years old son. A small wax museum focused on medieval torture and implements. Only the fact that I know most of the implements and uses let us get some enjoyment from the place. Not very impressive, quite small.

The museum of Torture makes you glad you were born now and not back then. There are some very good displays of torture and lots of implements of pain on display. it's not a huge place but you can spend an hour or so walking around it and looking at all of the evil devices we invented to punish each... Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
