Remember the people from the past

Very nice layout. Great deal of thought was put into making this display and allowing us to remember hero’s of the past.

Beautiful cemetery
Sep 2017 • Couples
It's possible to spend a very long time in this cemetery attached to the Basilica of St Peter and St Paul as it's so very beautiful. I knew nothing about it when we visited but stumbled upon composer Dvorak's grave completely by accident. Many beautiful headstones and statuary throughout the grounds.

Located next to the main church at Vysehrad, this cemetery has a serene aura and lots of beautiful tombstones. When you visit Vysehrad, you should spend a few minutes to stroll through the cemetery.

Established in 1869 on the grounds of Vysehrad Castle. It is the final resting place of Czech famous history. The centerpiece of the cemetery is the Slavin tomb.

Timeless and tranquil
Aug 2016 • Friends
Vyšehrad has always been one of my favourite spots in this wonderful city, and the National Cemetery ranks alongside it's more famous and bigger counterparts at Père Lachaise and Highgate! Here there is reverential tranquility and the visitor can see the final resting places of the Father of Czech music, Bedrich Smetena and his more recent compatriot Antonin Dvorak who is perhaps better known for his compositions from the New World, and close by some names that have more associations with the less happy parts of Czech recent history.

A must visit if you have good weather during your stay in Prague. The cemetery is well taken care of and full of beautiful flowers. It's located in lovely Vysehrad where you can get great pictures over the river.

In the evening, come here a little uncomfortable. The cemetery is a cemetery. But here there are beautiful tombstones.
You can walk along the paths between the tombs - viewing these works of art.
