This is a functional graveyard and not a regular tourist place. While in Prague, I was staying at the Courtyard Marriot which is next door to the place. It is a peaceful spot - as one would expect any graveyard to be. What makes it...More

We had a lovely and peaceful walk in this lovely old cemetory. It is the largest cemetery in Prague and has lots of old artistic tombstones. The park is a beautiful and quiet oasis, and you can walk for hours in it's gothic atmosphere. Definitely...More

My husband and I always come to Olsany when we make our way to Prague. We are not tourists here but we also admire the serene quiet beauty displayed all around us. The artistic tombstones, the overgrown ivy. We come every year to light candles...More

Need to get away from the waves of tourists rushing over the Charles Bridge? Sick and tired of the lingering smell of trdelnik? Why not take in this beautiful graveyard? The overgrowth in some places really add to the atmosphere along with some of the...More

If you are staying at the Marriott Courtyard then take a stroll across the street (in daylight hours, of course) and take in a quiet walk among the tombstones, memorials and crypts. The age of the graves varies and the rows of crypts in various...More

I know this is a Cemetary, and personally I think burials are a waste of space, but the history and the beauty in this place is astounding! Right on a major route, right next to Flora mall, and yet you don't know it is there....More

Very peaceful, with a variety of memorials from the last hundred years - cremations, tombs, simple graves, and a relatively overgrown area. If you find graveyards provide a peak into the heart of a city, this won't disappoint.

I was there in June and saw people with dogs. Didn't see any no dogs allowed signs but tbh wasn't looking as as I was dogless 😊.
