For me it was not worth to pay the entrance fee. You can visit better places. From inside you will not have a very good view. It is better to visit the old townhall tower on the Staromestka Nameci.

A wonderful ancient tower from the middle ages so well preserved. The climb to the top is a bit challenging but the view is outstanding !

The Powder Tour (also referred to as the Powder Gate) separates the Old and New Town of Prague. It's nice for a quick visit and makes for a nice picture, so it's worth going. You won't spend too much time there and you'll see many...More

First night in Prague we were walking past and saw the door open and decided to go into the powder Tower. The spiral steps are a little hairy if you don't like tight spaces and people coming up or down while you're climbing. Caught our...More

Great historical construction. You can find a lot of musicians and arts under the tower - from singers to bubble makers. Also, you can reach highest floor (for an extra charge) with great view, even it is not too high.

Next to the Municipal House is the Powder Tower. The tower is about 65 m tall and one of city's original 13 gates. The tower above the arch houses exhibitions of medieval weapons and instruments, also the main attraction is the wonderful view from the...More

This old tower over looks the Old Town. Fine lump of stone that just has to be part of a standard tour of the old town. Good landmark as you get lost down the side streets. All part of the Disney like spruce up of...More

Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents
the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is
bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický
square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle
in the background, is probably the most beautiful
square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere
of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and
squares, and stone towers blend together with the

No it's on the first level, up a spiral staircase and quite tight for space. Hope this helps.

Tickets are easily bought at the base of the tower. No worries. Only go up if you have a clear day with great visibility.
