I was there to see Van Gogh and Picasso, but guess what... first and third floor (where you can find international art) are closed. Even part of the second floor is closed, but you have to pay full price. It's like going to The Louvre...More

I went because there was a very interesting special exhibit, wanderlust. Lots of colors and large scale. This was very nice but just one room. I walked the rest of the gallery and everything was nicely displayed. There were a lot of closed areas as...More

There are a few National Galleries in Prague. This review is about the Veletrežni Palace. Building not very attractive. But the collections of both Czech and French art are impressive. A must do in Prague for people who like art

It seems that the Czechs don’t own so many paintings by the greatest of artists. There is a lot of Czech art, but most of it by unknowns, and it is not just by chance. Some of them are certainly good, but Prague is not...More

This is an enormous place with lots of art on display. Just make sure that you take your time... Mind you , there is a fantastic cafe on the ground floor as well and you can easily take a break here.

The National Gallery is called Veletrzni Palac. It is definitely my favourite in Prague. It is home to some amazing paintings of the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries. I only found one Van Gogh "Green Corn". Lots of Gauguin... More
