Cobble Path

Getting yourself lost in the small streets of central Prague. It's got small paths, large roads and squares. There are many ways getting from A to B. So get yourself lost.....

This is the centre of Old Prague and must visit. It has Astronomical Clock, Church of our Lady of Tyn and lovely square. Good to walk around in the day and become quite enchanting with the lights at night. Even romantic if you are with your partner. Sit down in the cafes and drink a beer or two. Lovely brewry... More

If you want to see old houses with their long histories, to walk the whole day - you need to visit Old Town in Prague. It is warm, nice and really beautiful.

So much history is captured, saved, and well organized for an Eastern European City. All venues we visit were easy to access and accepted senior discounts.

The heart of the amazingly well-preserved old town. You can't miss it, and you won't. Can be pretty crowded a lot of the time.

It doesn't disappoint. Simply a mechanical marvel of its day. The crowds were chill; no tension and some good mirth.

The Old Town area of this city of spires is truly the place where you can experience Prague in the true sense..... especially the lanes opening up to the main streets. A walking tour of the Old Town will automatically give you enough exposure of what I am talking about. Plenty of restaurants, cafes and the like. You will see... More

It is the main square which means lots of tourists and touristy food stalls etc. For me it is not a destination, but yuo will probably end up there in your explorations.

This place is amazing and it's easy to see why it's Number 1 on Trip Advisor. Don't book tours or travel on the Hop On, Hop Off Bus, part of the experience of this place is walking along the cobblestone roads and stopping to take it all in. It can be very busy in the main square but the side... More

The Town Square is the vibrant centre of old Prague and you will see a lot of it. Two tips. Have coins in your pocket; the WCs need 10-15 Kc, even on some restaurants. A frustration is that parts of the beautiful old churches are roped off; however they have some free concerts where they open up the pews so... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
