Neighbourhood: Malá Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighbourhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighbourhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighbourhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.

Don’t bother

Two rooms full of hugely long written stories and lots of bizarre, handmade, broken exhibitions. Go drunk or don’t go at all. Such a disappointment. Utter garbage.

A total rip-off
Feb 2020
We stumbled upon this museum when we were walking in Prague and thought it would be interesting to visit. The guy at the entrance said it was really interesting and scary and blah blah, but don't believe that. It's a lie!! The museum is just a dusty room with ZERO maintenance, where some very clever person dumped some rags, some old dolls and dimmed the light and started charging 8 Euros to get in. A total rip-off even for small children. I would be embarrassed to even charge for that, that should be illegal!

Fun if you love ghost stories!
Oct 2019
Like many people have said, it's not really a museum - but it's a fun exhibit, with tons of ghost stories to read, and creepy things to look at (and take pictures with). The downstairs area, with the golem and mannequins, didn't really have any explanations of anything, so it was creepy, but without much context.

This is a sister attraction to the Museum of Alchemists and Magicians, and that one works better. But you can get a combined ticket for both which is pretty inexpensive, and they're close together, so if you like spooky stuff, why not?

Not a museum, more for children
Oct 2019
This is not a museum... It's about legends from Prague, you have to read so much and the exhibiton are poorly made artefacts and puppets...
Overall it's just so many different little stories who have nothing to do with eachother which is more confusing than interesting.
Would recommend for little children, as it's supposed to be interactive, just not for someone who's interested in getting to know more about legends and ghosts.

Fun & Interesting Interactive Museum
Sep 2019
Our family of 4 adults thoroughly enjoyed! Other reviews mentioned fun for kids, but adults can be kids too! Yet other reviews mentioned walking through quickly, there is a lot to read, but if you don't read or interact then it's probably not for you. On the first floor, we read about the ghosts and legends of Prague. We interacted, for example, we tried to play the marionettes. In the eerie basement we slowly walked, we weren't sure what we would find. The fixtures in the basement were life-like. Not for everyone I guess, but we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Ages 22-50.

Not a museum, but fun
Aug 2019
Okay, this is not actually a museum. It's more like a play set up for middle school kids. The "museum" is split into two sections: Interactive and not Interactive. The interactive section is...well barely interactive, because there is not almost nothing to interact with. It is super small, dark and not much to see at all.
When you go to the basement, it gets more atmospheric. The dust and humidity, the coldness (just your typical basement feeling where in old days they used to story pickled veggies during summer, so they don't go off).
Then you start seeing some displays, and they are quite nice, I liked the idea of a guy struggling a woman under the staircase, the hanging baby, the downed maiden (i think) and so on.

I don't have regrets about going there, but I think it is VERY expensive for what they have to offer, which is not that much.

It's just genuinely terrible! 2 tiny rooms full of rubbish. We were in and out in less than 5 minutes and wondering if we had missed something.

Seriously don't waste your time or money!!!!!

Don't bother
Apr 2019 • Friends
This was a real waste of time and we only stayed for about five minutes. No-one expects to be frightened by these type of exhibitions, but it really was very poor. Very little labelling, dusty, poor quality exhibits. The only thing in its favour was that there was no-one at the entrance, so we got in free.

Not a museum
Apr 2019 • Couples
We were looking forward to a historical museum with cool artifacts as well as ghost stories of Prague, but what we found instead was a playroom for kids. If you have kids who like hands-on tactile activities then this could be good for them. On the first floor you can touch and play with all kinds of different things. Nothing is historical and nothing is informative though. The bottom floor is meant to be scary but would only be spooky for a very young child. This should not be advertised as a museum though! It wasn't at all what we were expecting and it was too expensive!
