This was a full day tour, tailored to what we wanted to know about Prague. Katka has amazing energy and knowledge. She never read-off a script. A resident in Prague, she showed us the hidden gems of Prague, and was able to miss the crowds. I would recommend, as she worked to our pace.

We did a two-day tour of Prague. Our guide Jana was very knowledgeable and punctual. The tour was well organized and paced. Apart from visiting almost all main attractions in the old and new town, we learned a lot about Czech people, where to dine as a local, and where to purchase authentic and characteristic Czech souvenirs. Recommended without any... More

We are a family of 5 with children aged 17, 14 and 9. We booked the two-day walking tour (4 hours each day) which was the best way for us to see Prague and also keep our kids from getting bored. Our guide was Ales who spoke excellent English and took us to some wonderful sites which were not on... More

Martina was our guide from Katerina Swobodova's walking tours of Prague. We met Martina at our hotel very close to the Charles Bridge. We started our walking tour at 9am and we were very happy because there were fewer people on the Charles Bridge at that time of the day. Martina gave us a very educational tour about the history... The positives: responsive with arranging the tour ahead of our trip, the guide met us at our hotel, which was helpful, and she was a lovely person. The negatives: On a cold day, we were enthusiastic around learning about the history of Prague, but our guide barely stopped to talk so that we could all hear her (and spoke softly... More

We heeded Rick Steven's recommendation on choosing PragueWalker, and it was an amazing time. Katarina, the owner was very responsive to help us book the tour. We had two half days of walking tour with our two young boys. Our guide, Alesh was very knowledgeable and personable. He guided us through some local gems that were not crowded with tourists... We've not yet gotten to Prague but Marketa at Prague Walkers helped us plan our limited time in Prague. She was particularly helpful as we are there over Christmas and were worried about what would be open and available. I needed some specific advice and she offered great help and was SO responsive. She has already introduced us to our... More

As a fan of Rick Steves' travel philosophy, we chose Praguewalker (recommended by RS) to guide us 5 out of 7 days in Prague. Day 1, we toured the Castle Complex, Strahov Monastery, and Mala Strana (little quarter-sits below castle). Our guide Lenka was great with a wry sense of humor. She was more academic than other guides but served... More

I can't say enough great things about this company. I had only a short time (2 days) in Prague before beginning a cycling trip and I wanted to see as much as I could so I decided to hire a local guide. I too saw this company recommended in Rick Steve's Czech Republic guide book. From booking the trip to... More

We engaged Martina with PragueWalker the morning after we arrived in Prague to better understand the city. It was a 4 hour walking tour and she took us all over the city. She knew how to skirt the lines to get into the Castle Quarter because it was a Saturday and jammed with tourists. She was extremely informative and her... More

Staying in Hradcany & Letna

Neighbourhood Profile
Hradcany & Letna
Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.
