Then National Bank replied but they said they can't do anything. Wthhhhh. I think all scammed money exchange are protected by "someone". I have changed... More

Like to add my 2 cents or in this case 2 koruna to this review. I was at the Art Deco Imperial Hotel, which is about one block from Palladium Mall and about 2 blocks from Municipal House. There were 2 money exchange places right near me. One was giving a larger amount than the other. One thing to ask... More

The exchange rates in Prague in general are awful! After my stay there I realized that I could have waited and look around before I gave my money to one of the first exchange houses I saw and lost almost 20 Euros in less than a minute. Just try to pay everywhere with a card or in Euros. I could... More

We went to exchange money, only to realise that the rates given are in reverse, totally misleading and a total SCAM. We only realised this after signing the paper to authorise the exhange, and the personnel handed over the money. We confronted the personnel as we were getting 50% less then what we should have. The staff replied that 'these... More

Be very careful changing money on Old Town Square. Chequepoint on Old Town Square is a systematic Cheating process. They have their signs reversed. You think they have made a silly error. They then quickly shove paper in your face and tell you to sign it (as pople waiting) then hand you an exchange rate that is less than HALF... More

We tried the Ham stand in the old square as having passed a few times really liked what was on offer. We did like the ham which is served with a few large portions of bread and as it was a good sunny day we had a large beer to wash it down. You eat at high tables in the... More

There is a currency exchange shop just right outside St Nicholas Church in old town square. It's on the right-hand side of the row of shops next to a pizza place. Never go in there!!! They charged me 20% for the commission which is a complete ripped off. When I confronted the guy, he told me to read the board... More

The people at the desk spoke good english which was nice. But only answered the questions to the point, didnt appear very friendly. If its information you need, you could ask the average english speaking tourist on the street

I had to go to this Information Centre twice during my holidays. People were not really that friendly or helpful. I needed train times and the best way to get to a few cities and the answers I got were the same I got by doing some very basic searches in internet. People did not looked "happy" to be in... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
