Vaclav was a wonderful guide. He has a great sense of humor, is very knowledgeable about his subject and has tons of fascinating stories to tell from his life. He made our trip to Prague truly memorable and I would highly recommend him to anybody visiting!

My wife and I had a magical week with Vaclav at Empire. We did multiple tour days seeing Old Town for food and history, Prague Castle and Strahov Library, Kutna Hora and the Bone Church, and Cesky Krumlov and all were amazing. We booked private tours and we highly recommend them. Vaclav has a deep knowledge and understanding of Czech history and culture. His stories were detailed and interesting. We had a fantastic time with him. We highly recommend him when you are looking to tour Prague and the surrounding areas of Czech Republic.

Václav is a wealth of knowledge. A true professional. If you want the “real story” a private tour is a must. His experience is vast and he truly knows this city and countries history.

Vaclav was a fantastic personal guide; September 13, 2017. Due to miscommunication with hotel Boscolo the hotel reached out to Vaclav at the last minute and he made himself available saving our day. Vaclav is very knowledgeable, personable and spoke perfect English. He provided insight into Prague's history and had many stories we'll always remember. It would be a joy to visit Prague again and to reserve another personal guide with Vaclav. Thank you Vaclav for saving our day and giving us a tour to remember!

We got to spend a day with Vaclav in Prague and it was one of the best days of our trip. He knows his history and explains it in a way that is interesting and keeps you entertained. There was never a dull moment with him and we will definitely plan to use him again in the future.

We took our tour at the end of a Viking River Cruise; transported from Budapest to Prague and spent three nights. Patricia and Vaclav are wonderful hosts, and we saw many things 'normal' tours just cannot include. Vaclav was educated in the US and speaks fluent, articulate English. Having been raised in Prague, he is extremely knowledgeable about the history and all the highlights. Many times, when travelling abroad, I have taken recommendations of past travelers who have posted and have never been disappointed. Empire Tours was recommended by my neighbor who has been with them on two other occasions. We made all arrangements prior to the cruise via internet, and once reaching our hotel in Prague communicated by cell phone. They arrived at the appointed hour in their late-model Mercedes sedan. We had a wonderful day and would LOVE to go back. It was the highlight of the trip after so many 'cruise tours'. You will not be disappointed!!

Patricia and Vaclav are a super combination! Vaclav knows his history and even was able to explain it to our grandchildren, ages 9 through 14. He is always finding new places to take us. Ask him about the surprise in the basement of the church in Melnik! Patricia handles all the details, never forgetting a thing. With their van and car they were able to easily handle our group of ten. Thanks to the both of you.

My wife and I toured Prague and other areas of the Czech Republic with Vaclav as our guide. The tours were absolutely fantastic, and Vaclav is an absolutely fantastic guide with a strong understanding of history and culture. I would not hesitate for one second to use this service. A+++.

My wife and were part of a Europe Viking river cruise during the summer of 2016 and extended a 3 day stay in Prague on the back end. One of our relatives personally recommended Vaclav to give us a day tour in Prague and it was the absolute highlight of our Prague visit. Vaclav is extremely knowledgeable of Prague's rich history and is well respected by his tour interfaces at each tour site and this enables him to gain access to areas that are often not readily available to the visiting tourist, so it is quite a treat to be with him. We both totally enjoyed our day with Vaclav and learned so much that at times the history lessons were like " drinking from a fire hose " ! We highly recommend Vaclav and are certain it will also be your personal Prague visit highlight !!

Many times since 2003 when we met Vaclav, my husband and I used the Empire Tours service. We traveled in the Czech Republic and Central Europe. Through this service we visited relatives and friends, as well as touring the country. In 2006, I visited the CR solo and again, with caring attention to all details, my trip was relaxing and fun. With family in 2016, I visited the Liberation Celebration in Plzen; it was a wonderful, heartfelt experience. In Prague, prior to the Plzen visit, Vaclav arranged a bakery tour. The tour was informational, interesting and fun. The samples at the end were delicious. With Patricia and Vaclav, visitors can be assured that they will get the highest-quality tour. Both speak a number of languages and Vaclav has a masters history for the region. No one has stumped him on any history event - yet.
