Neighbourhood: Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.

A lovely tour through the basement with installed torture exhibition from medieval times. Should’ve been a bit longer as we took it in within 10 minutes.
Price 320 krones approx 7 EUR per person and we expected more.

It was too dark to see anything, lasted 20 minutes, and the information seemed like a poorly put together school history project. A4 pages of typed into in size 10 font. You can barely read it!

Also, random mannequins which add nothing to the display. Only there to give it a “creepy vibe”.

If the writing was bigger, the room was slightly brighter, and perhaps more to look at, it would be A good museum.

Waste of 8 euros really. Most of the lights didn’t work so we were unable to see most of the attractions and wasn’t very long

Little bit lacklustre if truth be told, its darkly light which is fine it adds to the character but i couldnt see 2 of the thing i had to stick my head through the bars. My wife was a bit mortified because it seemed all the torture devices were aimed at women, maybe just go if your a women to get any sort of an experience from it.

Its a bit of a tourist trap with a one way system, the "museum" is ok, very darkly lit all the way around and the displays have some interesting information but its a very short walk around, we read everything on display and got to the end within 20mins. For what it is, the price is quite expensive but it is in a tourist area and obviously bit of a tourist cash grab

This one is not for the faint of heart, but perhaps that is why it is important to remember. The thing that makes this so unsettling is that it is all true. The horrific things people have done to each other is just astounding, particularly when the instruments of torture are put together in one place.

The museum was more interesting than expected, I have been to a few of these in different cities so I didn't expect to see much new stuff, but this seems to be one of the bigger ones. Everything is explained in English and German as well, which is very helpful. We liked the museum a lot

I'll be honest - we came in here because it was pouring with rain and we wanted to be inside. We check reviews before going in so were expecting to be disappointed. We weren't!

This is a cheap attraction right next to the Charles Bridge. It's up steep stairs (beware if you have mobility problems) and was a little intimidating - quite dark, isolated and narrow, but I suppose that added to the attraction.

Lots of the equipment looked and felt authentic. Perhaps it wasn't, but we let ourselves believe and had fun reading about the instruments. Each had a little information card next to them, and there were also a lot of prints of etchings/drawings of torture instruments and events which were interesting.

There was a lot of stuff, both instruments and things on the wall, and we easily spent around an hour here. It was a fun diversion and a good impromptu addition to our trip. I'd recommend it if you have a spare hour and a sense of humour.

Lacking in exhibits. Very disappointing and waste of time.
