The metronome itself is nothing overly exciting but the history of that platform and area is interesting and will be mentioned on pretty much any tour that sees it. The Stalin statue that was there previous, it's ending and the backstory of the designer of...More

Prague doesn't have many high vantage points to enjoy the view of the city. This is one of those few. Quite a few steps to walk uphill to reach the top but the view is worth it. The metronome is just a curious unique artifact...More

Pražský Metronome, an observation platform and park. In 1991, Vratislav Novák designed and constructed a massive metronome on Letna Hill in Prague. Although the area is better known for its vibrant beer garden overlooking the river, Novák erected a permanent reminder in the area to...More

Interesting piece of Art on top of hill in a park. It is meant to move but was not operating when we were there. Walking up the hill from river is a great hike. Lots of young locals hanging around the base of the metronome...More

Your experience in Prague will never be complete if
you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched
from the west to the north, provide spectacular views
of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone
streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green
gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses.
Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history.
Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the
