The area
Neighbourhood: Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.

This is really overpriced ...if you go to Sweden go in to any of the supermarkets and you can buy different candy for 0,6 cent per 100 g and it is even better quality
This is just a big scam

The prices per 100g shown are not real, they scam you and over charge you a lot. Payed 30€ for a few candies. Avoid at all costs, it's a tourist trap.

Avoid at all cost!! They lure you in with stocked sweets near the windows and will charge you 20€ for few strings of candy.
They do NOT include the weight of the candy, nor do they let you weigh it before purchasing. Absolute scammers.

Amazing place! Great choice of music, great candy, super fun and cool! I was only a tourist in Prague but I wish I could come here every day!

Total rip off brought two small bags of candy, cost almost twenty Euros. Only to find out the next day when we returned after someone told us it was a scam. They buy some of the candy in the local supermarkets for a couple of Euros and sell it for four times as much. bearing in mind that the supermarket makes a profit on them too and captain candy must be able to source them even cheaper. I notice they were closed during lockdown, despite being able to open. It's clearly because there are no tourists to fleece

Keep away from this rip off. The sweets may look good, but prices are outrageous. It's 3€ per 100g. What planet are they on?? Quality of sweets is not great as they are generally dry and hard. The shop we visited had ants everywhere and also wasps. Staff is surly and unhelpful. They don't provide receipts - no wonder. I had promised my son to take him, but it was the last time we'll set foot in this chain. Don't go - you'll just be disappointed.

We only popped in here to avoid the cold and to cheer up the kids. Expect to pay 3 or 4 times what you might expect compared to supermarket prices.
It was fun for the kids to choose from some unusual sweets but the prices are not worth it. Most of the sweets are Haribo quality. The staff are very unfriendly/stressed probably because they all know what a con this is.
If you must go, my strong advice is to stick to a limit of 10 sweets only and get out of there ASAP!

Pricey, but good! Nice treat! Try it for something different and makes a nice gift. My daughter loved it.

All for any shop that displays candy in an eye-catching and fun way...Captain Candy does just that!!! Barrels and barrels of candy everywhere, making it so hard to NOT buy some! My entire family of 4 had a bag ready to go to fill with treats and the final damage was not as bad as I thought (it was about $30, but for a novelty place like this, I was expecting it to be a LOT more). They charge based upon weight, which certainly makes it easy.
