After checking they’re website we decided to visit this castle. Even the site was showing that the castle was open daily even Saturday was open until 23:00...actually when we got there after diving for more than one hour we find out that the castle is closed from November to April...

Nice small city and castle
Jul 2017
Cross the whole year is this city perfect for your trip. There is nice nature, two churches and interesting castle with diferent culture events. And on the main square is fine restaurant "U hroznu" with home cuisine.

In this castle, there are much events per year. Especially from spring to autumn you can visit open castle, diferent exhibitions of modern art, concerts and other actions.
Under the castle, there is perfect restauration Vinárna U Hroznu, where cooked really good food and you can book two rooms.
The small city Valeč, where is the castle and restauration, is near two cities with spa - Karlsbad and Marianbad. I can recommend this place.

Beautiful palace and grounds - with a few surprises
Jul 2016 • Friends
As other reviews have noted, this palace was built in its present form in the early 1700's, on the site of a castle from the 1300's. The palace has a stunning setting on the side of a hill overlooking a valley that is more than 10 kilometers long. But the real gems are in the garden - the tallest cascade in the country (25 meters) at the top of which three gigantic fish spouted water; a three-story outdoor theater; a casino site high above the palace that had it's own formal garden; and beer caves that now are home to endangered bats. While the site is not yet restored, the former beauty can be seen in the remnants of the gardens, enhancing a feeling of discovering a site from long ago.
