This is a massive castle, sitting atop a cliff overlooking the town center. Different parts of the castle require separate ticketing, sometimes at different places. To see the castle interior one needs to join a guided tour. The group was large and it was sometimes hard to hear. I much preferred the small-group visit to the Baroque theater, the only... More

A well preserved and typical example of a medieval castle on a strategic spot. It has been extended and remodeled over the centuries but has not lost the feel of its original purpose. Should be on every overseas' traveller's list instead of Neuschwanstein which is actually only some 50 years older than Disneyland.... this one is the real deal.

I liked that place. Is a little bit far from Prague, but its worth. Its a part of Bohemia and protected by UNESCO, known for Baroque theatre, the oldest and the best preserved castle theatre in the world.

The castle is guarding the old town of Cesky Krumlov. You can have a walk through the courts and internal yards for free. The views over the old city are great. You can book a tour of the inside of the castle and you can also visit the gardens, for a fee. It is a must see in Cesky Krumlov,... More

Good preserved and very interesting castle. The tower is not hard to climb, and sure worth all effort. For those "photography-obsessed"- is one of "must visit".

A good spot to see Cesky Krumlov town from the top. But some of the walls were painting, good to see from far.

The whole city of Cesky Krumlov was beautiful and old, the castle was no exception. It was great to walk through it and learn some of the history of the city. If you are in Cesky Krumblov this is a must see.

A huge castle complex. Open from March 25 thru October 31. For individuální there is a chance to get in without a reservation. For more people it is a must to book ahead on the appropriate phone number. Check their web page please. The whole City centre is simply wonderful. Do ČK together with Hluboka and Holašovice.

From Wikipedia, review at bottom. "The Castle Tower is probably the most famous symbol of Český Krumlov. The banner at the top shines at a height of 86 m above the Vltava River. The tower has a Gothic core, but it was completed in Renaissance style. The lowest section was created in the mid-13th century, while the second floor, slightly... More
