Unique and Majestic
May 2019
The old town square in Ceske Budejovice is unique beyond belief. One of the largest in Europe. When we were there there was a festival honoring their beer, with dancing all day. Wonderful!

Infocenter place
Feb 2020
Nice building right at the main square, which mean easily accessible, especially for tourists. Me and my friend went for information center for some souvenirs. The place itself is not that good marked so we were not sure which door is entrance door to the information center. On the first attempt, we got to wrong ones. Staff at the place itself is friendly and it's possible to pay with a card.

DON'T MISS THE CARILLON
Jul 2019
There are guided tours on Mondays at 10.15hrs. If you cannot make that, the modern carillon sited in a tower just behind the Town hall and accessed by a passageway from the front of the building is a ‘must’ if you are there on the hour. If you cannot make that, just admire the highly stylised front elevation and perhaps visit the Information office within.

Beautiful Town Hall
Jul 2019 • Couples
The Town Hall in Ceske Budejovice is a Baroque style building built in the early 1700s.
Inside there was a model train exhibit when my partner & I visited. Well worth a look when in town.

Baroque building
Jul 2019 • Couples
Town Hall is located on the Přemysl Otakar II. Square. There is an Information Center inside and we visited free small exhibition of train models there. Every hour the bells on the Town Hall tower play a nice tune.

in the passing
Apr 2019 • Couples
We came to Češke Budjejovice on the Saturday morning, more in the passing, we decided to take a walk throughout the city center. It was relatively quiet, still a bit sleepy, but caffees on the town hall square were lively. And people with baskets rushing somewhere. So we were intrigued to find out where are they heading. So we discovered small market, where people were selling balcony flowers. That was an unexpected surprise.
As far as oldtowns, there are far better towns in Czech, but still, Budjejovice are not bad.

Beautiful ornate building
Aug 2018 • Friends
Beautifully ornate baroque town hall originally built in 1955, reconstructed a few times since. The attic holds the statues of four virtues - Wisdom, Prudence, Courage and Justice. Every hour on the hour the bells play a cute tune. Public bathrooms located inside.

Amazing building! It is one of the Cultural monuments in Czechia.
It’s also worth to be there in the whole hours - there is always a different glockenspiels. There are also special ones for public holidays.
