Make sure you see it at night with the lit up back drops of the beautiful buildings. If you can catch it at sunset with the sun reflected in windows all the better. A huge fountain throwing uo a lot of water, beautiful.

I can't believe water has been gushing out of this thing since the 1700s and it hasn't dissolved yet. It was hot during the day so I came back in the evening and it was even better.

We loved it. The huge fountain's main person is Samson from the Bibel. Since 1727 it stands there made by Joseph Dietrich.

The fountain looks good, I am not sure how old it is but looks special. Nice to visit but after 15 minutes you have to look for smth else to do.

Almost May and it was not working. The place is havily sunny in summer and I can only imagine that the fontainse is helping to survive the hot days

nothing special. In the middle of a big square, the fountain is the central point of that place. It is ok, but not more. Don't think, that this is a must see in Budweis.

Got to the Square only to discover some wombat had surrounded it with a giant wooden fence and walkway. Could only see the very top of the fountain from the outside. Went for a walk through the walkway to the fountain. Need to be a...More

Really nice baroque fountain. One of the dominants of the square. From the square you can also se Black Tower and Town Hall that are open for visitors.
