Hi guys, Abundant birdlife: cormorant, jacana, winding cisticola, hadada ibis, african darter, fish eagle, holy ibis, sunbirds. And of course the hippos. They leave the water at night. Roaming around your accommodation. The boattrip was not cheap. regards Schliek

We did the boat ride to Crescent Island, which is now a peninsula. This was one of the top highlights of our trip to Kenya. I'm an avid birder & our boat guide was fantastic. He really knew the birds & got us up close...More

Boat ride is a must on this lake . Hippos are the primary attraction. Many either in the water or on the shore. Different birds and also you could see giraffes on the private park adjacent to the lake

We saw Hippos, all types of birds, people fishing, etc. It is a beautiful area and with a boat tour you get lots of local information. It's worth the trip.

Great wildlife viewing. We did a 1 hour boat ride. Saw hippos, storks, flamingos. Crescent Island, located in the lake, has lots of animals that were brought in to film Out of Africa. They were never removed after the filming ended.

Good intro to african wildlife and a guaranteed site to spot hippo's. But ther are other animals as well and birdlife is abundant. Hire a boat with guide and cruise the lake, while also enjoying some traditional fisherman's village life.

I stayed with my girlfriend at a hotel on the shores as we wanted to stay closer to the lake. It was definitely worth it as we were welcomed by flocks of birds and groups of water bucks. Every morning we were woken up by...More

We took a one hour boat trip on lake Naivasha from the Marina camp site. It was really great, we saw loads of hippos from really nearby. Also many birds such as cormorants (aalscholvers in Dutch). And great views of the wildlife on Crescent island.
