We loved visiting here along with a few stops along the way (salt mines, cuy town, and the brewery) We hired a taxi and guide and really enjoyed the visit. Make sure you hike up to the storage area across from the main historical site....More

Incas is in the city of Cusco . Travelers might experience altitude problem here (about 3500m from sea level) . Overall the habitants depend on tourism .

When in Peru, do what Peruvians do...see the ancient and sacred sites of the unique Inca buildings and locations in the Andes. Be prepared to be OUT of BREATH often - it will be worth it!

This is another wonderful site to learn about the Inca history and culture. You marvel at how they could build this place and it is amazing that so many structures are still in place after over 500 years. Great little flea market as well.
