A trip to Vanuatu is not complete unless you venture to the outer islands and Malekula in particular. Amongst the many many highlights was our visit to experience a little of the traditional ways of the Small Nambas tribe. Veronique , our guide took the time to explain in both English and French every aspect of their performances , traditions... More

Loved every second of this tour! It was like stepping back in time, and we felt truly privileged to have witnessed not only cultural dances and stories, but demonstrations of cooking and weaving. It is amazing what has been passed down from generation to generation, from the skills to the traditional clothing and ceremonial wear. It's hard to describe everything... More

The small nambas tours at Rano are professionally run. I booked through the tourism center and got picked up on time. The road out is a bit adventurous, but our driver was careful. He even got us coconuts to drink! When we got to the tour we were welcomed by the village and learned how the tribe used to cook... More

We loved the Small Nambas dance and cultural experience. It was fantastic to see the cultural traditions of the tribe up close and get a glimpse of the way of life in the village. We hope that all visitors to Vanuatu will be able to get a chance to see this very special performance.

These people shared their hearts and souls with us. We felt as if we had been made welcome to something very personal and important to these people. I have... More

Tour guide , Veronique, a delightful young woman who speaks excellent English and French , met us near her village and we chatted whilst waiting for the welcoming drums . Entered village past conch blowing man to meet the villagers ,in traditional dress, and treated us to some kastom dancing , with Veronique explaining the context and significance. All the... More

It was just my friend and I but the small nambas went to so much effort to show us their culture and everyday lives. We took so many photos and videos and they welcomed this. They wanted photos with us! We learnt so much and was one of the highlights of our trip.

They began to work about this tour 10 years ago. The result is; it's very well organised, beautiful hats and very good dances and dancers. Thanks to all of you. We learnt a lot about your culture.
