A sauna of silence
Nov 2014 • Couples
Out in the fields of Zuidzande you can find a lot of barns. One of them is the Lillehammer sauna and you might really love it! You have a lot of place to park a car and enter the barn that brings you in to the sauna.

At first it was unclear where to enter and once inside if we passed by the reception. So if you go, you can see shoes standing in the entrance, you just take your shoes off and go upstairs where you can start to forgett the outside and start to relaxe.

For only 19€ you have all the time you need, 3 sauna cabins, a steambath, a small swimming pool, ... We really had a great evening. Only a few other people were with us and time flew by. The host was great and even the drinks were cheap. And if you get a little bit hungry you can have a salad!

Dutch country sauna
Jul 2014 • Solo
I normally come here for a bit of R&R. If you are not staying in a hotel with a spa & wellness, this is a good option to get in some relaxation time in the middle of dutch country scenary. It has 1 steam sauna, 1 aromatic low heat finnese sauna, 1 high heat finnese and a swimming pool indoors. Outside you are in a secluded garden yet with an open view, here you can find a wooden cabin which is a high heat finnese sauna. In warmer weather they have lounge beds for sun tanning or in cool weather you can cool off al fresco. There is also rest area with food & beverages available.
It is normally full with couples, which is offputting if you are on your own. I normally go solo which is why I choose Thursdays which is unoffcially mainly men.
Be aware that it is completely "au naturel " even in the swimming pool and in the garden. This was a surprise on my first visit but when in Rome...go with the flow.

Small and cosy sauna
Apr 2013 • Friends
I like the peaceful surrounding.
Don't expect 20 saunas and steambaths. There is a choice of 3 saunas, 1 steambath, 1 indoor swimming pool and 2 solariums.
But that's all you need to relax. The garden is very peaceful and the food/drinks freshly made.
Depending on the day and period of the year it's not too busy, sometimes there are only 3 or 5 people. On other days there can be 20 or more people and then it gets a bit crowdy.
General public is 40+ of age.
