We were staying at a hacienda in Otavalo and the manager printed of a walk to the waterfall for us. The waterfall was delightful with lots of families enjoying the area but it certainly wasn't overcrowded. I'd highly recommend it for a day out.

Either way, the route is from the market towards the Panamericana road via Ibarra (North), you pass the circle and then two blocks to the right and then straight until you teach the railroad, then make a left until you find the parking space for the Peguche waterfall, by car about 8 minutes, by foot maybe 45 minutes. There is no entrance fee but the community will ask you for a dontation. There are crafts for sale too. Enjoy
