This was our first stop on our recent Moroccan road trip. Pleasant 3 hour drive from Casablanca on the big highway once you exit the city. It's about 40 minutes from Meknes once you exit the highway - lovely drive through acres and acres of...More

What a surprise to come across this place. Our hotel hired a driver from Enjoy Tours in Fes and our driver was Ahmed. We had the comfort and convenience of our own car with an English speaking driver. This site was excellent and unexpected. I...More

There's enough remaining/excavated to illustrate the overall layout and design of classic Roman architecture an how it contributed to Roman life. While interesting to walk around and view the ruins - many of which have placarded descriptions - it is recommended to have a guide...More

I thought it was interesting to see a nice Roman ruin in Morocco. There are several large mosaics that are amazing, both in their condition and designs. The ruins themselves are interesting, if one is interested in Roman ruins outside of Italy.

I was a bit iffy about going to see Roman ruins. Volubilis is however surprisingly awesome. It is a hot long walk and really unsuitable for those who have difficulty in walking. Take a bottle of water and a large brimmed hat! It is hot...More

The stuff that dreams are made of. Amazing historically important Roman ruins located near the site where the Jesus of Nazareth movie was filmed about 42 years ago. This is an archeologist's dream site.

It depends: if you are into archeology, then at least 4-5 hours there. If not, 2.5 hours there
