Only a short train ride from Rome north railway system, this small town overlooking the fantastic lake with crystal clear waters AND a real medieval castle that you can visit after only 10 min walk from the train station! A nice restaurant at the foot...More

Went on a tour, tour guide had no time management at all so we were late and just tried to do catch up. The lake was pretty but not a lot to see. We sat and had a beer overlooking the lake. Wouldn’t rush back.

Having visited several of the Northern Italian lakes I was expecting much more out of our visit to Lago di Bracciano, what a disappointment. We were staying up in Bracciano, without a car, now this is the problem if you want to discover the lake,...More

Beautiful getaway from a city vacation in Rome or just a day by the water on your roadtrip. This lake has it all. Very clean water, motorboats is forbidden. They are strict about the anti-polution policies. Very peaceful and not packed with tourist.

The lake is very clean, no motor boat can be seen there. No wonder the water of Bracciano is used into homes.

The lake is a 20 minute walk from the fabulous town of Bracciano. It is a very steep walk and very very steep walk back. It would benefit from a shuttle. There wasnt much going on when we visited - but the beauty is extraordinary

Is it because it is the end of the season, or is it always like this? I was a little disappointed. We walked the lakeside from Bracciano and there seems to be lots of closed and unused properties along this small stretch of lake...what a...More

It's an important water reserve for Rome and therefore kept well and clean. No motorboats, some amateur fishermen and lots of sailing. Because of the drought this summer lots of water was pumped to Rome and the lake went down some 1-1.5 meter. And this...More
