Lots of character at this place. Staff were great and the wine was very moderately priced. Ports were great too. Worth a visit if you’re in that part of town.

A group of 3 couples stayed in van Gent's Pipeclay Lodge for the weekend. A 3 bedroom (2doubles and one twin) timber cottage (self-catered) which is ideal for such a group of friends. Excellent facilities and not too far from town. Would certainly recommend this...More

Excellent place to start your Mudgee Wine Tour experience. The atmosphere really sucks you in upon arrival with the large casks lining the walkway to the tasting area. Beautiful ports - this coming from a person who does not like ports - walked away with...More

Excellent wines, particularly their Muller-Thurgau. We enjoyed our first visit (3 months ago) so much so that we included them in this visit, on a weekday this time so it was not so busy, and we were not disappointed.
