Knowing nothing about this town we stopped en-route for coffee and found the Plaza Alta...it was deserted in August....and had a very odd feel to it! The architecture was certainly different and overall worth a look! We found a cafe and stopped for drinks before...More

We were fortunate the sun was shining. There is a little cafe which was open and we had a drink whilst admiring the square. Worth a visit and walking the walls around it.

This an unusual and interesting square. But it is empty, literally, except for a restaurant that comes to life at lunchtime and the evening. Just a few metres away is the Tourist Information Centre. Apart from an excellent man there who knows a lt there...More

We sat enjoying a glass of wine I a very pleasant bar. All of a sudden the music and light show started. A special evening was made even better. A must.

We visited during some Arabian Festival and the square was filled with incense and oils and leather boots and other objects you might relate to the Arabian Nights and that most hippies use. The buildings that in fact surround the square are extremely pretty.

Right next to the Alcazaba and Tourist Office. The paint used is a little different than most plazas in Spain. There are a few eateries and shops there, but was not busy the few times I walked through.
