One of the most heart touching live, musical shows 👌🏽🇳🇴 it describe how were the ppl used to live and live in harmony with all the hard times during windy winter and summer when the sun never sets . I loved that the show was presented by young girls and boys embracing their heritage and history. It touched me deeply. My warmest thanks for all members of such an incredible team 👌🏽🙏🏽
BTW DON’T miss the waffle with cheese and jam

A fabulous show, all in English, capturing the joy and life of living in the northernmost city in Europe. Informative, fun, touching and uplifting. Talented young cast with excellent musical skills.

Our stop during our cruise in Norway in Honningsvag was to start with a bit dreary.
We then chatted to a local girl working in a shop and she recommended the theatre show as she had been acting in it the previous summer,so we discovered this warm, cozy cafe ,great coffee and pastries, free WiFi too!!
The show was absolutely delightful, funny and fresh.lovely young people in the cast.
Please try to visit this cafe and stay for the show, you will really enjoy it and meet some local folks in the nicest way.

Honningsvag was smaller than we ever expected. Our cruise ship held 3700...but shocked to see two other ships there at same time. An Aida ship and a Hurtigruten ship. So we think there must have been 5500 passengers getting off. Some had booked excursions to North Cape but many hadn't. The Tourist office was packed, a massive queue but just ONE lady dealing with enquiries and selling tickets for local buses. No decent signage. Only 4 taxis in the area so it was chaos as the 2 or 3 buses got booked in no time, leaving hundreds to walk around in 7 degrees which felt like zero..on 20 June. We only walked around for 2 hours as so cold and very little to see. A few quaint houses, fishing boats and shops mainly for locals. A great let down. Norway needs to do more for the numbers of ship arrivals or refuse entry. The place just cannot handle this number of tourists.

We called in to see this show whilst visiting by cruise ship. The venue is lovely and the coffee is great, there is also free wifi and clean toilets. The show was wonderful, we laughed till we cried. The four young people were so talented and passionate in telling us how and where they lived. Just wonderful, would highly recommend.

The show "Our northernmost life" in "Perleporten" in Honningsvåg was definitivly the highlight of my Northnorway-tour! Four students of the local college performed brilliantly a short musical about why one can choose to live so far in the North on a windy and cold island. This was performed on a unexpected high level. And it was both very funny and very infomative. I just can reccomend this show to everybody who is traveling to the North Cape. You don't understand where You have been wothout having seen this show!

We like others visiting Honningsvag, came in on a cruise ship for the day. Whilst viewing the sights of this northern town, we found this little cafe/theatre. Whilst it worth the visit for the show, you also get great coffee with wifi included, clean toilets, plus a great view across the small harbour.

If you find yourself in Honningsvag, it is a fair bet that you are either travelling independently to North Cape or you are travelling on the Hurtigruten cruise / cargo / post ship.
Either way, the show they put on at the Perleporten Kulturhus is to be warmly recommended.
Four lively and enthusiastic teenage girls are the "stars" and in a series of clever scenes, explain a little about the history and geography and what it is like to be in the "Northernmost". That is, the northernmost town in mainland Europe, with the northernmost gas station and so on.
The show is well presented, it lasts about the right amount of time, it's fun (and they also do coffee and cakes).
If you are hoping for great art, Ibsen or Strindberg, forget it. But if you're beginning to experience cabin fever on board ship, this makes an ideal excursion. Not cheap but decent value.

My mother and I attended a performance during our day in Honningsvag. We were passengers on a cruise ship and wait-listed for shore excursions that day. I read about this show on Trip Advisor and thought we might enjoy it. I also mentioned it to a couple on board who ended up changing their shore excursion to the morning so they would be back in time to attend. It was so fun and we had a terrific time. The college age performers had so much personality and the show was filled with song and dance, some history of the town including photos projected as a backdrop to the action and stories about the people of Honningsvag. There is a cafe so you can have coffee .pand cake. We saw the 1pm matinee. There is an evening show each day as well. It is located right on the main street above the gallery of environmental art. It is a 10 minute walk from where the big ships dock. The show runs every day during the summer season from early June to early August, you can check their website for details. The performance runs about 40 minutes as I recall. I think the tickets in July 2015 were approx $20 (U.S.) per person paid by credit card in Norwegian currency. Go and have a great time, learn about the town, laugh and be entertained. Chat with the friendly couple who run the theater. You will love it and want to tell everyone about it. Bring your friends!
