Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This lovely gallery is from the work of a local female artist. Her creations (when we were there) were a result of collecting 1200 shoes from the local beaches and the community and recycling them into art works and then prints. Lovely work, local feel and a connection with the environment. It's a short walk from the pier and worth a visit!

Saw this wee gallery on trip advisor before pulling into town on the Hurtigruten. Had a lovely wee visit and marvelled at the originality and clever recycling involved in the artwork. Purchased a couple of small prints as a memento. Well worth a visit.

The gallery with artwork and handcrafts by a local artist Erica K.Haugli. The entrance of the gallery is appealing already. There are rainboots with flowers in them. I was told that the artist gathered boots thrown by somebody just on the road sides and used them for that project. Inside the gallery is filled with colours and joy, I would say. Collages, mosaics, jewellery, water colours, paintings, handicrafts. In the shop I saw imprints of the artists work sold as posters, post cards. But there are several original pieces for sale too. I left the gallery as an owner of one work of art.

Very sadly this wonderful little gallery is now closed. We've enjoyed several visits over the years to admire and buy some of the innovative and beautiful artwork. All good wishes to the artist, Erika. We hope to see you back again very soon.

Came upon this shop unplanned but liked the concept of using what can be gathered on the foreshore, or around the town, whether it be natural, as stone, wood etc or something simply thrown away because it is broken or unwanted, to be turned into a useful item, or simply to be made into something attractive to the eye

We were invited to enter the galerie and got very friendly explanations.Of course, they want to sell, but this is the standard game....
Prices for small items are not too bad, therefore if you like this art it is affordable.

a really unique or better different exhibition, especially since this is not in a room or building,no it is outdoors and so can be admired by everyone. The exhibition, as it is called, has been made or exhibited by a local artist.
Definitely very interesting and certainly worth seeing.
