A great way to spend a few hours wandering around the well labelled displays of yesteryear. I particularly enjoyed the full room displays, complete with mannequins, everything was so true to life and accurate. The staff were friendly and helpful too.

So many interesting things to look at and suitable for all ages. It was amazing to see so many items inside and also outside around the building.

Must see if in Busselton, and great for the kids to see how the pioneers lived - without all the modern electronic gizmos. I marvelled at the engineering and craftsmanship of the 1800's, and how labour intensive life was.

a pleasant walk through the village to this folk museum full of interesting items. The one that sticks in my mind is the corrugated shed by a lot of the old machinery. Just a shed - but no, when you look inside, there is a double bed, a table, a small bed. If you want to understand how the early... More

A lot of the museums in the area are very similar if you like rusty old bygones you are well away. This museum has a bit more to offer

We visited the museum not expecting to see much. Wow what an eye opener. Very inexpensive. A huge array of exhibits both inside and outside. Well maintained and well displayed with explanatory notes in many places.

Wow! What a great museum with each area set around a particular theme in our past. It was fabulous seeing so much from my childhood here that my grandparents still had that has disappeared. Was great showing my daughter an old typewriter and how it worked! Don't miss this if you love history!

We couldn't stop raving about the Busselton Museum (aka the Old Butter Factory). If you love history and the past, you will love this place. It is literally crammed from floor to ceiling with thousands of artefacts from the past. We were astounded by the sheer amount of items that have been collected for display. There is so much to... Me and my partner are currently visiting family, we are from England. We loved the museum, lots of interesting room and it easily filled two hours of a rainy day!
