A lot of the museums in the area are very similar if you like rusty old bygones you are well away. This museum has a bit more to offer

We visited the museum not expecting to see much. Wow what an eye opener. Very inexpensive. A huge array of exhibits both inside and outside. Well maintained and well displayed with explanatory notes in many places.

Wow! What a great museum with each area set around a particular theme in our past. It was fabulous seeing so much from my childhood here that my grandparents still had that has disappeared. Was great showing my daughter an old typewriter and how it worked! Don't miss this if you love history!

We couldn't stop raving about the Busselton Museum (aka the Old Butter Factory). If you love history and the past, you will love this place. It is literally crammed from floor to ceiling with thousands of artefacts from the past. We were astounded by the sheer amount of items that have been collected for display. There is so much to... Me and my partner are currently visiting family, we are from England. We loved the museum, lots of interesting room and it easily filled two hours of a rainy day!

This museum contains an astonishingly large and fascinating collection of memorabilia which helped me to understand Busselton's settlement history. I particularly enjoyed seeing inside the old houses, the school room and the medical room. I've gained a new respect for the resilience of the early settlers, and their profound influence on the present day. Highly recommended.

leave plenty of time aside and even so, the kiddies will end up board! seems to lack firm direction trying to cover so much of everything, this could easily be split into several concise attractions giving a better overall experience.

You know you are getting older when you recognise items from your grandparents homes in a museum. This place has a nice blend of the familiar and the surprising. The volunteers were very helpful, even googling additional information that they didn't have on hand.
