This is an area of many rock formations - The Natural Bridge and the Gap and DOG ROCK. Surprisingly very doglike. Looks like a buried dog with its head sticking out of the ground. Take a picture and move on.

This is a site you can easily drive past and view, however have a quick stop to take a picture. This feature is near a shopping centre. Dog Rock is in the middle of Albany on Middleton road.

The dog rock sits just near town. The shape of the rock is identical to a dogs head and it has a painted collar. When we saw it someone has put an orange cone on its nose , so looks quite funny at the moment . Worth a quick look , you don't really need to stop unless you want... More

Came across the rock which is located at the top entrance to Woolworths car park. If you use your imagination then I guess it resembles a dogs head but to be honest I have difficulty working out why it's a tourist attraction when there's so many granite rocks and boulders around. Personally I wouldn't go out of my way to... More

Nothing much to see except for a huge rock in a shape of man's best friend! Can see for the fun of it.

We are not sure whether this sight actually merits a review, after all it is only a rock! Yes it does look just like a dog's head (and we did take a picture!!!). But when all things are said and done, is it a highlight, or are we being too dismissive of an 'attraction' of Albany?! Iconic perhaps, but .......

It is hard to go through Albany without passing Dog Rock. It looks like some cleaver sculpter has carved this great dog replica from a huge stone, but it is a lucky freak of nature.
