Dignified, quiet remembrance to those brave ones who fought in WWI, perched atop a mountain overlooking Albany and the Southern Ocean. A place to take in the views and reflect. A hallowed spot.

If I was one of those brave soldiers of WW1 I would be so proud of this incredible memorial structure placed on one of the highest sites in Albany.

Well worth visiting this beautiful memorial, in a stunning position overlooking the Sound to remember the servicemen who did not return. Take it slowly as there are lots of steps to reach the top but there is vehicle access for those unable to walk.
