The main car park for the monument is at the base of the stairs leading up. However, there is parking at the top for disabled travelers. The memorial is very well done, and is well worth the walk for the able bodied visitor - albeit it is possible to reach it by car for the less able. The statue is very evocative, and the views give the memorial a special place that it so deserves. Least we all should forget their sacrifice.....

This is an emotional and awe-inspiring memorial to the ANZACS. The statue itself graphically shows the anguish.

The memorial is worth the views from the top alone. It has been very well built. The sculpture is perfect. It is one of the best memorial sites l have visited. Albany needs to be commended for is efforts.

if you do go to Albany and do not visit the WW1 heritage sites you are letting yourself and your family down, the whole set up has been done with class, the views from the memorial are beautiful, there is plenty of signs to read to understand the enormity of what occurred in Albany in WW1

Well worth the visit you have the choice of parking at the bottom of a long wide concrete walkway looking up to the sculpture & memorial at the top of the hill, or you can drive to the top car park which also has disabled access ramps to enjoy the panoramic views across Albany harbour & surrounding countryside.

This is a good walk and when you get to the top, a very good lookout and reading about WW1. Went twice and loved the views
