We hired bicycles there and it was worth it. Staff had extensive local knowledge and extremely helpful.

Upon arriving in George town Tasmania we went to the information centre This is a great place to visit, the people are so friendly and helpful, such a warm greeting and so much information to help us thank you

I feel bad about giving a negative review, but I think that there should always be room for improvement. I will say that when I look at the previous positive reviews, I wonder if the lady that helped us was having a bad day or perhaps we were not on a good communication wavelength. We were asking about scallop pies... More

When I first went there it was shut and had no notice giving hours of operation or even days of operation. I realise it is run by volunteers and they are to be commended for their work but it is frustrating to not know whether to come back later or what. I went back the next day when they were... More

The ladies were most helpful. They gave us maps and explained the various places of interest in George Town and surrounds.

When we travel we generally seek out the local tourist information centres so as to obtain the up to date local information. This outlet did not disappoint. We were met by two charming ladies manning the centre who provided all the local information. Worth stopping when visiting the area.

We travelled from Queensland and let me say they guy at the information office was fantastic. Pointed us in the right direction, breakfast at the signature cafe was good, clean and value. Old school breakfast. The attractions in Georgetown and the location is superb especially the Bass and Flinders museum outstanding and a credit to the local community. A must... More

As you come into George Town you will see the big 'i'. When i went in the stuff on were very helpful knew a lot about everything you can do in George town and low head. worth a stop in on the way into town.
