Quite accessible for the able bodied.Road into destination quite narrow and requires care. Do wear sensible footwear as the path is clear but uneven. Going before 11.00 am seemed to be less busy.

The walk is about 1km from the top car park to the actual falls themselves, through tree ferns [man ferns], Tasmanian myrtles and other species. The track is well maintained, relatively easy descent but can be quite a climb coming back to the upper [Top]...More

Bring your best fitness smile as this walk can be a little challenging for those not used to walking. Good shoes are a must as the ground tends to remain soggy and muddy. The net result is a beautiful view of the waterfall. There were...More

The falls are beautiful and the walking track not too difficult even for me, having had a knee replacement earlier this year. The drive down was an amazing part of the experience. The road is windy and the rainforest vegetation almost makes a arch over...More

The drive up the Liffey falls was a good challenging drive as the road narrows down and it’s gets to an off road mode. The walk down to the waterfall is really easy and a piece of cake for experienced bushwalking people. Once you reach...More

The drive to Liffey is an experience - beautiful and momentarily challenging. The road narrows considerably as you get further into the parking area, it is riddled with potholes! The walk is beautiful, but be sure to wear sturdy footwear rather than runners as it...More

Quite a nice easy walk. This one would be perfect in summer with all the tree coverings. It was on the cool side for winter! It has the typical relaxing rainforest feel. The ferns are beautiful. Wide paths and easy with children. Where we parked...More

A truly beautiful place. You need good shoes and good balance to get the best pictures but it is worth the effort. A lovely setting, well kept walks and view points. Plenty of parking. You can go down over the stones looking up at the...More

Despite the road closure we decided to take the 'alternative' route and weren't disappointed. Kids 5, 7, 9 and 12 managed the massive 2 hour return! Walk possibly more spectacular than the fall themselves and it could do with a bigger viewing area and seats...More

Definitely go to Cataract Gorge in Launceston. Driving up to Cradle Mountain is lovely but you need a whole day there as the tours are quite long. We stayed at Jackey's Marsh which we loved. Fabulous views of the... More
